Trump's Family Member Gets Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
This young athlete maintains impressive social media audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile cheerleaders as she makes her LPGA debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns numerous courses worldwide and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to go out there and enjoy myself," she added.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions this year and has ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
However she's able to get advice from golf legend, in a relationship with her mother.
"He represents the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He told me to play, relax, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge multiple the biggest names in the sport at the competition, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA commented that Kai's presence brings the sport to different demographics, specifically reaching youth audiences.
The social media influencer boasts substantial online presence and has started her own apparel and wellness company.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
