Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A jet ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The jet touched down in accordance with standard protocol and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This event does not mark the first time that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has suffered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was required to turn back to Washington after encountering a technical issue.
